As a New Yorker all his life, Joe Rumore has always loved the timeless value of the still image. He began his career in broadcast television, working on various documentary programs for PBS and then in later years in TV news programs. That previous career path of documentary and journalism parlayed into the photographer he is today.
Joe has a passion for the art of wedding photography. He strives to visually create a story of your wedding in a more realistic, emotional and artistic way.
Joe’s inspiration comes from all of the heart-felt moments that take place throughout a wedding day. He loves to capture the romance, playfulness, and unspoken connection between couples. He feels that images are often most beautiful and emotional when they are captured naturally, as they happen.
I traveled to Washington, D.C. last weekend to photograph Gen and Dan’s wedding at our nation’s capital for my friend Heather Z. I was so blessed to share this day with them… they are such a beautiful, loving couple. We lucked out though, it was supposed to rain… but the sun came out – and we enjoyed walking around by the water, and having a good time. Look carefully… those cherry blossoms were at their peak!
